Happy Anniversary!!

I just want to take a quick moment to wish a special 4th Anniversary to Tricia and Nathan! Wow has God brought them far! It's great to see them with their families away from the hospital. Gwyneth is soooo little still and it's amazing to see how God has been working! So... Happy Anniversary guys! May God bring you many many more anniversaries to come!!

All right, I'm a bloggin' now!

Hi everyone,

Well, I'm going to try to take a stab at more frequent blogging. I just love reading other's blogs, so I guess it's only fair for others to be able to peer into my life, right?

Anyway, I have been loving not working this summer. I'm preparing myself for an adventurous school year ahead. I'm making small preparations each week so as not to bombard myself when August comes around.

So what have I been up to?


Well last week I worked at Clapp Children's Center. It has been a while since I've been there, but really, it's like riding a bicycle! I had a great time working with my co-workers! (This is an old picture... but the only one I could find on my computer. So this will have to do!)

Monday, I hung out with my best friend Katie and her little girl, Summer. We had a great time catching up. I even watched the baby for a little bit while Katie went to the store. Then we made Broccoli Soup and played cards!


Tuesday we went to the Aurora Premium Outlets! Boy did I make a killing! Again, Katie made the adventure out, so I got to see her and Summer again! It was GREAT! I love being an honorary Aunt. I'm going to see her next Wednesday too... I promise to take pictures!

Wednesday Mom and I went strawberry picking. Thus the picture to the left! The strawberries were delicious! The only part that was a bummer was the berries were VERY small. But, because the were so small they were perfect for my first ever strawberry pie! MMMMmmmm.... it is delicious too!

Today I tried my hand at Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Tortilla Chips. MMMMmmmmm!

This weekend I'm going with my family to visit my oldest sister Katie. I'll try to take pictures while there too.

I'm getting the hang of this blogging business!

Continue to pray

Again, for those of you who have read it... please check out Tricia & Nate's Blog cfhusband.blogspot.com. God has put a twist on things recently. They certainly could use you reading it, and praying for them. I know tomorrow will be a big day for them.

As far as the rest of life here... Jer and I are still looking for a house. So if you're in our area, please check out houses and send us emails and such about the houses. At the very least, get the address for us.

Finally, I am enjoying school being out for the summer. My mom and I had a lot of fun last week just doing girly things! This week I'm going to sub at Clapp Children's Center. I'll be there this week for sure, and then on and off for the rest of the summer. Here and there I will be at BV North as well!

16 1/2 more!!

Wooohoo!

16 1/2 more days until summer vacation!

Honestly, I don't think I've look forward to days off more... or summer vacation more.... including when I was back in school!

This has been an exceedingly trying year in so many ways. I've had my ups... and I've had my waaaaaaaaaay downs.... but God has carried me through. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. One thing keeps nagging me. I like to joke about it.... but I often wonder. Have I made a difference in any of my students' lives? Will any of them remember me in 10 years? It just keeps bugging me... that I may have spent 9 months with them... and not done anything worthwhile but educate.

I guess only time will tell. God knows the hours I've spent in tears.... the hours I've spent praying for each one. I know seeds are planted whether there will ever be acknowledgment.

I guess I'll just wait.. and continue praying.

I hope everyone is doing well! We still are houseless..... still on that beloved (now exhausting) quest. Please continue to pray with us that God will provide a house for us within our price range that meets our needs!

ok, ok

Alright, so my world doesn't seem to be crashing down as much any more. Things aren't amazing.... but things are getting better. Things that were stressing me out on Friday aren't so bad right now.... please keep us/me in your prayers. A lot is going on. A lot of good things. A lot of exciting things.... a lot of scary things....so please just remember us when you can. Thanks!

Oh, and FYI.... please continue to pray for Tricia. The latest update I saw on their website today... she was discharged from the hospital! That's amazing! God is so great! And even during times when I'm feeling discouraged, I just read their story and thing "Wow! Look at what God can do! Look at what He IS doing!" And I'm just amazed. Especially since Nathan has such an amazing testimony throughout the time I've been reading. Now, I know that his road has not been easy.... and I"m sure that he's even questioned God. But his amazing amount of strength and hope comes from God. And I love that Nate & Tricia aren't afraid to give God the glory and let their story be heard.

If you haven't yet had the opportunity... check out their story . Continue to pray for Tricia that she will remain rejection and infection free. Continue to hold their little girl up in prayer as well. Gwyneth is doing amazing... join with me in praying the she continues this amazing uphill climb!

I know God never said the road was easy but sometimes doesn't the road just seem to suck?

Ever look around you and see everyone's world going right, and yours only going completely wrong? And then you look back and say "crap, how the heck did I get here?" Especially when all you ever do is love, and try to honor God. You read the Bible, you pray, you attend church, and your not just a pew hugger you're actually active... and yet... nothing seems to go right. Even things that seem to go right... yep just end up all wrong.

That's pretty much my life right now. Just amazing... *uhhuh* So do me a favor and just pray for me. That smile... is all just fake. The only thing that keeps the smile coming is the fact that I know God is there. Always there. Sometimes I wish he'd find a better way to demonstrate a new learning mechanism.

Hi Everyone!

I just got home from work and class tonight. I went to my usual routine of catching up on today's blogging activities.... and for those of you who may follow my blog (I know there aren't many, but every little bit helps), or have followed their blog... from last update... Tricia recieved the call.... Yep! THE call. She was prepped and is in the OR as I write this. Please pray for her and her body to respond the way everyone is hoping. Please pray for the surgeons, and medical staff. Pray for her husband Nate who is I'm sure in an overwhelming emotional state... but pray that God gives him peace. And of course, pray for baby Gwyneth who is doing amazingly well... pray she continues to breathe well on her own, and drink from a bottle and gain weight. God is doing amazing things in their lives and through their lives..... catch up on it... and be encouraged.... but don't forget to pray. In fact, why don't you stop and pray for them right now..........................
