Quarter Century Club Induction....

That's right folks! Today, I have officially been inducted into the quarter century club. I was hoping for a snow day as a birthday present, but... there's always next year I suppose.

For those of you older than 25, what did you like best about year 25?

Those of you not 25 yet, what do you want to accomplish before you are 25?

As far as me, so far, so good. Kind of boring being 25... very similar to 24, but technically, I feel old. It has also been "crowded" as you will. What do I mean? I mean, I share it with 3 close relatives. My twin sister, and my brother-in-law both have January 7th b-days. (Fun fact, tomorrow is my Aunt, and nephew's birthday.) This year, I would like to see Jer and I's Sunday school class grow. I'd like to make great strides in communication with others. I wouldn't mind getting a family started, but I'm pretty sure we're a year or two away still. (Prayers, would be nice. Hehehe) I would love to find the house that God wants us to have also. It's 2009, and it's early... and I see it as a bright and wonderful year!

Happy Birthday to others with January 7th B-days!

Wonderfulness.....

I know many of my readership (few as they may be) may have already seen it... as I had seen it before tonight. But I just wanted to give a high five, 2 thumbs up for the movie Fireprooof. Have you seen it yet? If not, I highly recommend seeing it! It comes out on DVD January 27. Our church had a special before DVD showing tonight. If your marriage is on the rocks, needs a little pep, your curious about the film, or you just want to challenge yourself for more.... go see it! It really is a touching film. That has challenged me in so many ways.

Jeremy and I are doing the small group study with our Sunday school class that is based on this movie. The 2nd half of the SS quarter is going through the book "Love Dare" as featured in the movie. I am so excited about doing this. Faith in action! A new way to show your love in tangible ways. (Anyone in the NE Ohio area want to join us, feel free.)

I am so excited! Every marriage can use a pep talk. There is nothing wrong with that!

(I'd post the trailer, but I have NO IDEA how to do that.)

Labor of Love....

Finally!!!

I am proud to announce that the last 3 boxes of stuff has been officially unpacked. I know, I know.... you might be thinking why did it take 4 months to get everything unpacked. Well there is a perfectly good explanation. We were looking for the right desk that wouldn't over power the room. I was wanting a corner desk. Personally, I don't think Jeremy cared he just wanted functional. But nonetheless, everything just was stacked in the corner.... until today! Yesterday we bought a desk, and today... I spent the better portion of the early afternoon putting it together. A lot of annoyances a long the way, and even a few times of sweat in between.

Everyone should be proud, because I even took a few pictures to show my progress. I was doing it by myself while Jer was at work, so there is no actual picture of me doing anything, but I took progression pictures!

Now, I just love the room even more! I love organization!! It makes me smile.

Happy New Year!!

Hi Everyone!

I want to wish everyone a happy new year and 2009! Only a week until I am in the (dreaded... just kidding) quarter century club. That's right... January 7th is just around the corner. Kimmee and I will be 25 this year!

We had a fabulous New Years Eve celebration with my Mom, Dad, Kimmee, and my Aunt and Uncle. It was a lot of fun, hanging out, eating, and playing lots of games. And as usual, I failed to take pictures. :-( However, on an up note, I do have pictures with which I will share with you (maybe tomorrow) of our cruise from a month ago. Gosh, I can't believe it's been a month already.

As I sit here reveling in the fact that it's a brand new year... I look back at all the blessings from 2008. I pray the best for everyone in 2009!

I thought I'd share some blessings with you from this past year....
January was pretty uneventful... but uneventful was good. God blessed me with my first snow day since I've been teaching.
February, marked a year since Jeremy and I had been teaching our Sunday school class. We've made a lot of new friends, and seen God grow us a lot in many ways. We also were blessed with the birth of my best friend's daughter, Summer Olivia. What a joy!
March I was blessed to make it through my first science fair, and with a vacation. God blessed me so much with a buddy that I teach with being able to go with us on our trip. She has challenged me a lot personally.
April, was Jeremy's birthday. Always a blessing.
May I could see the light at the end of the tunnel... summer break was around the corner.
June school was out, and I was blessed to be able to work part time over the summer at Breckenridge Village, my first love (when it comes to work).
July things started brewing... we ended up signing a lease for a new apartment... much bigger such a blessing!
August we moved in, and we love it! More room allows for actually having people over!
September we celebrated 3 years of marriage. What an amazing thing! God has blessed me with such a fantastic husband. I love how he has taught me so much about being a woman of God. Who knows what I would be without Jeremy.
October we were able to steal away for a weekend.
November we went on a Caribbean Cruise... it wasn't so much the places we were going but who we went with. I was able to spend a prolonged period of times with some cousins who have moved out of state. It was so much fun. And I will cherish those memories always.
December, we celebrated Christmas with family, and friends!

I look forward to the many blessings that God has in store for us! I hope that there will be new and exciting adventures waiting around the corner. I'm not usually one for New Years Resolutions.... but I know I always try to better myself each year.

I hope each one of you have had an amazing 2008. I look forward to keeping up with fellow bloggers... and seeing how God is working and blessing your lives too.

I love you all!!

Merry Christmas!

I wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas! I wish I knew how to put cute animations on this... I've seen a bunch of great things... but I can't figure out how to put them on here. Sheesh... If only I knew someone who was computer savvy who could help me! Needless to say, I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday with their friends and family. More importantly I pray that everyone was able to stop for a moment and remember the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Ya know, it's hard to celebrate Christmas.... the birth of a baby, Jesus, without reflecting on the purpose for His coming... to die for us. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around the concept.. but I'm so glad God did that for us. It's incredible!

I will post pictures in a few days.... I'll post pictures also of our new curtains. (I'm so excited about them!)

Have a great one!!

Good bye sexy specs... hello new daddy!!

Hello to all my readership (though they may be few),

I just wanted to ask that if any one thinks of my dad this evening and tomorrow please say a prayer for him. In the last few years he was diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetics often have to worry about developing cataracts. Well... as it is, my father is not an exception to this statement.

Last year the doctor noticed a cataract developing... and this year at his eye exam said it must come out. So tomorrow is the day! My father will have a double lens transplant. They'll do the first eye tomorrow, and then the second eye sometime next week. If all goes well, then my father will no longer need glasses for every day issues. Instead, he'll be trading them in for reading glasses!

That's incredible! I'm not sure what to think! I have never seen my dad without glasses! I think he said he's had them for 47 (ish?) years!

So we'd really appreciate the prayers, I know he's a little bit anxious since he'll be awake and they're playing with his eyes. Who wouldn't be??

Thanks all! Other than that, on the homefront we're doing well!! Looking forward to Christmas break!

Haven't forgotten about this....

Well I'm back! I know it's been a while. I haven't forgotten about this blog, I just have been so busy.

Last week Jeremy and I were blessed to spend Thanksgiving week on vacation with some of our family and a few friends. We went on an Eastern Caribbean cruise. It was a little more choppy than I like as far as the boat rocking is concerned. But, it was soooooooo nice to leave the snow behind for a week. We didn't take too many pictures, but in the next few days, I'll try to load a few that we did take.

Along with a cruise I did spend a little time reflecting on what I am thankful for. Here is just a short list:
1. The unconditional love of Jesus and the salvation he brings
2. Spending holidays with my husband (you never know how much you appreciate
something so little until you can't actually do it.)
3. Sleeping in on black Friday
4. Good families... both mine and my inlaws
5. Great church home
6. New place to live
7. Steady income that God has provided

Like I said, there are soooo many things I could list.... what are you thankful for this holiday season?
