Well today was my first day off of work. I have about 2 weeks until I have in-service. So, I spent the day doing small errands and basically just chilling. It was very nice and relaxing.
Today, however, did bring about Jer and I going to the eye doctor. We don't have eye insurance through the school's insurance (Jer should be able to get that and dental offered to him in October through his job. We have our medical through the school.). So since my insurance from the day care is good until the end of the month we figured we should take full advantage of it. So we went and had our eyes examined.
Jeremy's eyes have remained the same since his last check. He's going to get new glasses though, because his old ones are too small for his head. :-) I however was surprised to find out I have "convergence insufficiency." It's a condition in which my eye muscles tend to drift outward when I'm looking at things up close (ie reading). It explains the reasons why when I read I tend to skip lines, lose my spot, get tired, or can't focus. So the doctor recommended "comfort reading glasses." Meaning I don't neeeeed them, but if I want to read, then I should use them to be more effective. My eyes see fine as far as distance and such..... perfect!! They just have to work over time to focus on staying on task. So.... I got myself a cute pair! I figure it may give me a little more authority when I teach. hahaha.....
Well that's about it for now! I'm really into blogging these days!! So hopefully someone starts reading!! Haha

Talk about Surprised!!!
Hey everyone!!
I am so excited to report, that as of about 1:00pm on Saturday, August 4, 2007, I was blessed to find out that one of my best friends, Katie is pregnant with her first child. She and her husband are ecstatic.... as well as my husband and I. I know her parents are very excited as well.
It's actually kind of a funny story. She called me on Thursday and left me a voicemail saying she has something so cool to show me... so maybe on Saturday if I'm available.... I could come over for a bit. So my pondering mind was trying to logically figure out what the "cool thing" could be. At first I thought.... ooo maybe they got a puppy. I was hoping for a puppy. But I quickly realized that it wouldn't be a puppy for 2 reasons. (1) She told me a while back that they wouldn't get a dog until after they have kids. (2) I had talked to her a couple times while she was at home, and I didn't hear a puppy. And I'm sure I'd hear a puppy. So I figured, it probably wasn't a puppy. I thought well maybe she's pregnant.... then I figured no, cuz they're two very free spirits, and they're not ready to have a baby. They just got married 18 months ago. And then I thought I had it.... I figured it must be their wedding album. That they finally got their wedding album. So I went to there house about 1pm, and we sat and ate blueberries and chatted. After a little bit, she said to me, "well, we called you over to show you something." Of course I was like "yeah... ooo... let's see." So she told me to close my eyes and put my hands out. So I put my hands out flat, as if to receive a photo album. Only to get my fingers and hands moved so as to hold something smaller. She told me to open my eyes, and to my surprise, what am I holding but an untrasound picture! I screamed!! Dropped the picture, and was like "oh my gosh! Are you kidding me?! Oh my gosh!" And I let out quite a few screams.... and then I gave Katie a hug... then I realize at that point that I was shedding a few tears. I took me completely by surprise!!!!! And here I was... hoping it was a puppy!!
So I'd like to say, once again.... Congrats to Katie and Phil!! Katie is about 10 weeks along... due sometime either late February, or early March.
Soooo... Congrats Guys!! I'm sooooooo happy for you! I can't wait for my almost niece/nephew/God-child to join us in this world. It seems kinda weird to think that Katie is pregnant. But... I am sooo excited for them!! The way I figure it... it's good for me to be a part of this.... if things go well.... who knows maybe we'll have children of our own sometime in the next decade. If it doesn't.... welll... guess you can kiss that thought goodbye!! Hahaha...
Alright, well that's about it!!

A whole new world
Well I think this is just for my own personal documentation. I am about to embark on a new adventure. A whole new world if you will. *Can't resists and bursts out into song* Well, I'm about 3 weeks from being done with the child care scene in my life. Yes, that's right folks. I'm growing up.... I'm venturing out into a whole new world. It's actually quite absurd!! My last day at the Clapp Children's Center is August 3, 2007. Then, I will begin my preparations for molding the impressionable minds of American Junior High Youth. Yes, that's right folks. The end of August, I will be teaching Math, Science and Grammar/Literature to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I'm very excited.... but as I'm sure anyone who has started a new job will agree, I'm still a little nervous. This is uncharted waters. I must say, "Thank the Lord" for my wonderful mother. She really has been quite kind, and patient. She's started with me from the ground up and has showed me what I need to do to be adequately prepared. I am very very grateful for my mother.
Anyways.... Summer seems to be flying by at a swift pace. I'm not so sure how I feel about that. Jer and I went on vacation with my family. We, of course, went on another cruise. This time Western Caribbean. We had a good time. And it was nice and relaxing.
Our Sunday school class is actually thriving right now. We have on average 10 people in our class. We restructured it.... gave it a new name, and we're covering a fantastic book... and I bring food every week. So I don't know if anyone reads this, or more importantly if anyone was praying for our class. But it worked. And God is blessing us for it. Thanks!!
Well, I guess I don't have much more to say. This are going well. Had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Everything looked great, and the few minor problems I was having... probably will be fix shortly. So... Yay!!
Alright.... God bless!!

Updates from our life....
So guys.... I'm doing pretty good. I hated that I had to come home from Vacation... but.... I missed Jeremy terribly, and thus I came home... and my vacation was up. Haha... Anyways, I guess I'll catch you up on things. Let's see. Jeremy and I are doing really well. I think we're definitely settling into married life quite well. I feel our time spent together is good quality time, and our communication skills are getting sharper. I couldn't feel more blessed right now by my life. Jeremy and I are still teaching the "Young couples" class at church. We're currently trying to come up with a good catchy name for the class. In times passed, the "Young Couples" class has been for young married couples only. Now (mostly because there wasn't anyone coming... hahaha..) we've opened our class up to any young couple.. married, engaged, dating... whatever. I think that is the direction God wants us to go. So we're trying to come up with a good name for it... something catchy, something that will interest people of our age. Meanwhile, despite the not catchy name... God has blessed us with a great "young couple" who are currently dating. It's still only the 4 of us, Jer and I and the two of them.. but in just a few short weeks, I have learned a lot about myself and Jer and I's communication skills. When we first started going to the class, well lets' just say God knew we needed to hear "it's alright, all newly married people go through that..... you'll be fine." message... and Jeremy and I want to share that with others as well. So, I personally am very grateful for any class of its type. Anyways, we'd really appreciate your continued prayers in this endeavor. We want God to bring us more couples with which to learn from and fellowship with. We know it's not about numbers.. it's a matter of the heart... and that's ok. It truly is a humbling experience to be able to count the number of people in your class on 1 hand. But, we wouldn't trade it for the world. We trust in God completely... and when He wants to expand our class, He will. Until then, we'll just enjoy the couple we have, and learn from our discussions and experiences.
On to other things, this week I'm helping out as the prop and set director of the Youth Chior at my Church for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's fun... but it's taking up sooooooo much time this week.... and it is very tiring. We've had practices Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday... with opening night on Thursday and ending on Sunday evening. So if you want to say another prayer... pray for this production. It's the first time for one of this magnitude at our church (and with everything going on with my church right now very important) and so we need some prayer. A lot has got to happen/change during tomorrow's production.
Anyways, that's pretty much it. We're looking forward to vacation in June. Should be fun, again, to go together. Alright... until next time.
PS. I am going to try to post some pictures from vacation when I'm not as busy next week.

I'm soooo on my way
Hey all.....
Well I doubt I can really say "all." I don't think anyone reads my blogs, cuz now that Jer is home, I don't really blog. I guess my form of venting now comes by talking about my problems to Jer. Anywho... This Thursday I'm leaving with my family and we're going on vacation to Myrtle Beach. I am soooo excited! I cannot wait! I'm a little sad, cuz Jer can't go with us. So it's a little sad. But, he'll be able to relax a little without me bugging and nagging him. hehehe.... j/k. Anyways, I can't wait. But, rest assured, that the online stalking of people via their myspace or blogspot... will continue even while on vacation... because our condo has high speed internet.
Alright, well that's all for now.

Ooo... New...
So through a turn of events and wanting to be nosy with friends and past good friends all the like... I have now joined the blogspot family. Who knows, this may end up being a staple in my life as well. In the past I know I have relied and enjoyed blogging on other sites. In fact, I'm fairly certain that blogging is what kept me sane during my husbands 14 month deployment.... when I only got to see im for 16 days during those 14 months. Soo.. here's to new beginnings, new friends, and keeping me sane.
